Near Match Resolution

Assign a Near Match Record

You can assign Near Match Records to your account, making the records editable only by you.

  1. Double click, or right click any column of an open record and select Open from the menu.

    This will assign the record to you, and your user ID will display in the "Owner" column. The record is now "read only" to others, and will be represented by the In Progress status icon. Near Match Record menu showing 'open' option
  2. Once you open a Near Match Record, the Source Record and Near Match Record(s) both display. Begin working with the record from this screen, or click the Near Match Resolution tab to return to the list of Near Matches.

Un-assign a Near Match Record

If you need to remove your account from a record, right click and select Unlock.

The status icon for the record will return to "Open" and your username will no longer appear in the "Owner" column.

Tech Tip

Only the "Owner" can unlock, or un-assign, their account from a record.
